About Graceful Care

A community-focused initiative dedicated to helping girls and young women thrive with dignity, confidence, knowledge and opportunity.

Who We Are

Helping girls thrive with dignity

Graceful Care is a community-focused initiative dedicated to helping girls and young women thrive with dignity, confidence, knowledge and opportunity.

We are a non-profit based in Accra, Ghana, supporting teenage girls in less-privileged communities through the free distribution of sanitary pads, menstrual hygiene education and dignity outreach. Pad a Girl with Pat, our flagship menstrual hygiene campaign, is one of the projects we run.

Our Mission

To create opportunities and provide practical support that help girls overcome barriers, build confidence and reach their potential.

Our Vision

A future where every girl has the support, resources and confidence she needs to live, learn and grow without limitations.

Our Founder

The heart behind Graceful Care

Patience Mensah

Founder & Team Lead

“Every girl deserves to walk into a classroom with her head held high. A pack of pads is a small thing to us, but to her it is the difference between showing up and staying home.”

Patience started Graceful Care after seeing how many girls in her own community were missing school every month for a reason nobody talked about. What began as a handful of pad packs handed out by one person has grown into Pad a Girl with Pat, a campaign that has now reached hundreds of girls across four communities, plus a wider programme of self-development and empowerment work.
